DAY 1: Lake Manyara

On the first day, youll start the drive to Lake Manyara National Park leavin from either Moshi or Arusha. Located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s escarpment, Lake Manyara National park is famous for its lush green foliage, varied bird life, tree-climbing lions, hippos, elephants, wildebeests, baboons and many other animals. We have a picnic lunch and continue with the game drive until late evening. You'll enjoy dinner before spending the night camping under the stars. 

DAY 2 : Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Crater

You'll depart from the accommodation early in the morning (around 7:00 a.m) once you've had breakfast. It takes about 40 minutes from the accommodation to the Ngorongoro conservation area gate. The Ngorongoro Crater in Africa is one of the most densest wildlife areas in the world, and is home to some of the remaining Black Rhinos of Tanzania. We have a half day game drive in the Crater, where there is a very high possibility of spotting the big five in one day. The Crater is home to hippos, zebras, gazelles, warthogs, elands, lions, herds of wildebeests, elephants, hyenas, cheetahs, leopards and others. Lunch is had at the picnic site at the crater floor, near the hippos' pool. You'll then start your drive back to Moshi or Arusha.

This unique tour offers you a complete forest adventure. Enjoy watching the endemic Red Colobus Monkeys in the pristine Jozani National Park,  canoeing through the mangroves between Unguja and Uzi and having lunch at Kitogani Village. 

Spend the remaining time relaxing at the coastal conservation camp, sharing experiences with other interns and volunteers staying there, and enjoying the natural beauty of the island.

Enjoy a guided mangrove tour at sunset in the tidal forests of Chukwani. Weave your way through mangrove tunnels as knowledgeable guides show you the mangrove ecosystem, including an amazing habitat of several species of mangrove trees and a variety of animal life. End the tour by watching the sunset. 

This is a stand up paddleboard adventure that will leave you both exhilarated and at peace. The tour is suitable for almost anyone, and our guides will ensure you have a successful team-building experience on the water. 

DAY 1: Moshi to Serengeti National Park

IDepart from Moshi in the morning (picking up those staying in Arusha on the way) and drive to Serengeti National park via Ngorongoro conservation area. Youll drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you'll enjoy a game drive en route. Arrival at Serengeti National Park is in the early afternoon - and youll do a game drive until sunset. Serengeti offers one of the most amazing game viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo and wildebeests, groups of elephant and giraffes, eland, impala and Grant’s gazelle, Lions, leopards and others, can be seen very often. You'll enjoy dinner before spending the night camping under the stars. 

DAY 2 : Serengeti National Park

Youll get up early in the morning for a game drive to witness the spectacular sunrise of the Serengeti. The game drive will continue until the early afternoon. Either return to your accommodation for a hot lunch or you will take a lunch pack with you. Then drive back through the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with game drive en route, observing more lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles and hyenas. You'll enjoy dinner before spending another night camping under the stars. 

DAY 3: Ngorongoro Crater 

After breakfast, with picnic lunch packed, youll depart for a game drive to the Ngorongoro crater. A real life Eden, you will be amazed by its abundant wildlife that get very close to the vehicle. The crater floor supports more than 25,000 large mammals including the remaining Black Rhinos, Zebras, Gnus, Gazelles, Buffalos, Lions, Hippos, Elephants, Elands, Hyenas and a number of aquatic birds. You'll explore the crater until late afternoon before driving back to Moshi or Arusha.

DAY 1: Moshi to Lake Manyara National Park

Depart from Moshi in the morning (picking up those staying in Arusha on the way) and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. After the completion of formalities, you'll proceed with a game drive into the park, which is very famous for its lush green foliage, varied bird life, tree-climbing lions, hippos, elephants, wildebeests, baboons and flamingos that inhabit the lake shore. You'll have a picnic lunch and continue with the game drive until late evening. You'll enjoy dinner before spending the night camping under the stars. 

DAY 2 : Tarangire National Park

The trip starts just after breakfast where youll drive to Tarangire National park. Tarangire is famous for its herds of Elephants and ancient Baobab trees. This park is also well known for its high concentration of game and fantastic bird life. Other animals to be spotted include leopards, giraffes, zebras, lions, etc. You'll enjoy a game drive until late afternoon and then drive to Mto-wa-Mbu. You'll enjoy dinner before spending another night camping under the stars. 

DAY 3 : Serengeti National Park

Depart after breakfast to Serengeti via the Ngorongoro conservation area where youll enjoy a picnic lunch. Later youll arrive for an afternoon game drive on the northern side of the Serengeti, entering the park through north Klein Gate. The Serengeti offers the most enthralling game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo and wildebeests, groups of elephant and giraffes, eland, impala and Grant’s gazelle, lions, leopards and many others. You'll enjoy dinner before spending another night camping under the stars. 

DAY 4: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area 

Experience a spectacular early morning sunrise in the Serengeti, if the weather allows, and have breakfast. After breakfast, youll leave the camp with your picnic lunch for another game drive, looking for more lions, leopards, cheetah, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles and hyenas until the afternoon and then drive to the Ngorongoro conservation area. Overnight and dinner at the camp. 

DAY 5: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, with picnic lunch packed, depart for a game drive to the Ngorongoro crater. A real life Eden, you will be amazed by its abundant wildlife that gets very close to the vehicle. The snorkelling has a duration of 2 hours - 30 minutes for equipment preparation and introduction, 1 hour snorkelling, and 30 minutes for equipment rinse and discussing the species you have seen and their roles in the ecosystem.

Spend the remaining time having lunch, relaxing at the coastal conservation camp or at the beach, sharing experiences with other interns and volunteers staying there, and enjoying the natural beauty of the island.

The PADI Open Water Diver course covers three main areas: Knowledge Development, Confined Water Dives, and Open Water Dives. 

Once certified, PADI will send you your personal Open Water license card via mail. This certification card allows you to dive with every PADI dive shop around the world!

To get the certification, you need to:

1) Book the diving course at least 1 month in advance of your start date - this is really easy, just add this add-on to your file and once this has been approved just go to your Checklist to complete the payment.

2) Complete a medical form that Intern Abroad HQ will send to you once you have completed the above step 1. This is to verify that they are allowed to scuba dive. If you have any medical history that may prevent you from scuba diving please check with your doctor before booking the course.

To get the certification, you need to complete two parts:

1) Theory - through PADI eLearning system

You can get started immediately with the classroom portion of your certification course and the local team will send you this once you have booked & paid for your course.

2) Practice - once you arrive to the island

Once on the program, we will finish off the appropriate in-water diver portion of the course, following the below schedule:

Day 1 : pool session (3-4 hours)

Day 2: two open water dives (Half day trip) 

Day 3 : two open water dives (half day trip)

At the end of the third day you will be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver. As a PADI Open Water Diver, you'll be trained to a maximum depth of 18 meters/60 feet, and are qualified to dive in conditions as good as, or better than, those in which you trained. It's just the beginning of a lifetime filled with dive adventures.
