Internships based in Athens include Medical Internships, ideal for pre-med, pre-dentistry, physiotherapy and occupational therapy students. Supportive English-speaking professionals guide interns throughout shadowing and observation activities across a wide range of departments and medical specialities. Available from a minimum duration requirement of just two weeks, healthcare and medical internships in Athens are suitable for summer internships - or whenever it works for you! Alternatively, Viticulture internships are situated near the historical locations of Nemea and Meteora.
Multidisciplinary Aegean Marine Science and Island Conservation internships are also available in the gorgeous Aegean region. The Mediterranean is home to important marine mammal populations and unique seagrass and reef habitats. Interns join professional efforts to conserve and protect these precious environments of ecological and economic importance. This program is suitable for both undergraduate and postgraduate students seeking career insight and real world understanding of modern conservation challenges.
Note that internships in Greece are provided through an organization which is accredited to run projects under Erasmus+. European students are encouraged to speak with their local Erasmus office regarding funding and grant opportunities for their internship.

All Intern Abroad HQ programs include a guided reflection course, which combines personal development with professional competency building. Interns receive weekly reflection modules to complete during their program, which foster the acquisition of essential soft skills for employability and a resilient career. Each reflective journaling task introduces a new topic, presents learning objectives, and provides specific prompts that inspire and guide the learning process.
Intern Abroad HQ does not award grades for the completion of our internship programs, but interns can be supported to independently arrange academic credit through their home educational provider. Upon completion of the internship duration and reflection course, interns receive a portfolio as documentation of their experience. This includes a certificate of internship completion, alongside a summary of the internship goals, skill development, highlights, and a compilation of the reflection work.
