What recent interns said about their experience
i most enjoyed learning about a new culture, practicing my language skills and working with new people.
I thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience in Valencia. Everything from the people I met, the vibrant culture, the delicious food and the beauty of the city itself made it an unforgettable summer. It was a time full of new experiences and opportunities to learn, both personally and professionally. The warmth and openness of the locals, combined with the rich cultural atmosphere, made the experience truly special.
I learned a valuable lesson from my colleagues: work hard, but also make time to enjoy life. The Spanish way of balancing work and leisure showed me the importance of not only working hard, but also taking time to enjoy life outside of work. This helped me reflect on my own approach to work-life balance, which I plan to implement in the future.
From a professional perspective, this internship challenged me to step into areas I had little experience in, such as social media management and web content management. Despite my initial uncertainty, I have learnt that with enough determination and effort, anything can be achieved. This has boosted my confidence in my ability to tackle new and unfamiliar tasks in the future, knowing that I can learn and adapt as needed.
I enjoyed being fully immersed in the culture and having the opportunity to gain international experience in the physical therapy field.
I have enjoyed learning and gaining new skills in Architecture as well as working on multiple projects and visiting current sites for projects that they were working on.
I enjoyed meeting new people, enhancing my career prospects, learning more about myself and about a whole new country and culture..
While I had built a solid theoretical foundation through classroom experience and coursework, I still needed hands-on exposure. The one-month internship in Spain provided me with that opportunity. Through this experience, I developed critical thinking, a creative mindset, and strong analytical skills. Additionally, my line manager was very supportive, encouraging me to explore different areas. Balancing multiple roles was a great learning curve and significantly boosted my confidence in working within a multicultural team and corporate environment. Beyond work, I embraced the local culture and made an effort to learn basic Spanish. I found the people in Spain to be very friendly and always willing to help, even strangers. Overall, I’m incredibly grateful for this internship experience. It helped me overcome challenges, grow professionally, and immerse myself in a new culture, making it a worthwhile experience.
