What recent interns said about their experience
This internship was a lifechanging trip that truly helped me grow and mature as an individual. I feel this trip gave me a whole new perspective on life, developed my empathy, adaptability skills and communication skills. I met so many wonderful, like minded people who will be my friends for life. I also feel so much more at peace with myself taking that time away for 3 weeks to experience a new culture, it really benefited my mental health.
This internship was a transformative experience that enriched both my personal and professional growth. I especially enjoyed contributing to the women empowerment project and participating in maternity rounds at the hospital. These experiences strengthened my commitment to community service, deepened my understanding of social impact, and inspired me to pursue a career in mental health and clinical psychology.
I had a great time and learnt a lot. It is such a great initiative gathering people from all walks of life to share culture and diversity, while still bringing hope to people - especially through healthcare. I had great support from my Program Manager, especially with coordination and guidance. My accommodation was great and comfortable.
I loved my placement supervisor, she was incredibly helpful in getting me adjusted to Tanzania and growing as a lawyer.
