An internship can mean different things around the world - there can be different entry requirements, outcomes, and expectations. Various programs can also be described as an externship or praktikum. Therefore, we’ve provided this user-friendly overview to let you know how we work. If you’d rather chat, feel free to contact us directly.

Prepare with our expert team
Once you confirm your program, our Internships Manager will be at hand to provide guidance and pre-departure support. You’ll receive a comprehensive program guide that’ll help you prepare, plus we’ll schedule a short Skype interview in order to learn more about your goals. Our in-country host organization will draw up an appropriate placement for you, based on your program choice, skills and experience.
Complete your program
Our internship programs include a guided reflection course, which combines personal development with professional competency building. Interns receive weekly reflection modules to complete during their program - each introduces a new topic, presents learning objectives, and provides specific prompts to inspire the reflective journaling process.
Enhance your career
Programs are based on the experiential learning framework, offering the capacity to become more confident, responsible, self-aware and culturally sensitive. These life skills compliment an education and set individuals apart within a competitive workforce. Interns take away from our programs a record of their weekly reflections, providing a tangible demonstration of their learning journey.
