Interns who focus on Spatial analysis of farmland with regards to landscape and biodiversity features join forces with a Greek Agricultural Research & Development SME, operating out of the beautiful island of Crete. This organization delivers a wide range of services, ranging from applied research and development for sustainable production (i.e. agroecology, organic farming, and integrated agriculture), the environmental impact of agriculture, vocational training, innovative support for producers, and more.

The main tasks of this remote internship include spatial analysis, by means of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and tools (QGIS or Google Earth Pro), with regards farmland use, landscape features and biodiversity.

Eligibility Requirement

Interns should ideally have an academic background in agriculture and/or environmental sciences, as well as a strong interest in the subject matter. An understanding of GIS and landscape analysis is beneficial. This internship is conducted in English and is only available for a duration of 8 weeks, between June and July.
