If you have a passion for environmental conservation, this unique opportunity enables remote interns to gain experience with a highly respected marine conservation NGO. Assist researchers on key environmental protection issues, gaining exposure to real-world application of media. Interns can develop infographics, posters, animations, scientific illustrations and other related material to help raise awareness of environmental challenges and engage others to take action.
For the last two decades, Archipelagos has been dedicated to marine research and conservation. The conservation efforts of Archipelagos Institute can only be successful when shared with the local communities and the general public. Effective communication, through media, builds relationships both with the local community and with the general public.
The media and public relations team creates content on biodiversity, environmental conservation and public health issues through various platforms, with the goal of raising awareness and inspiring positive change. Focusing on various subjects, remote interns will take part in a range of projects in the following areas:
- Scientific Illustration of Flora and Fauna
- Graphic and Animation Design for Conservation
- Media and Public Relations
Interns may contribute unique talents, such as illustrating high-detail subjects (preferably scientific organisms), high proficiency in computer graphics and animation software, proficiency using and managing social media accounts (i.e. Facebook, Instagram), and experience in public relations and/or journalistic writing.
This internship is conducted in English.
