There is a broad portfolio of placements available for virtual Marketing & Communications internships. All interns are required to present a copy of their resume in advance, as internship placements are assigned in consideration of your current skills and experience level. Placements are possible in Media Groups, Public Relations Services, Leader Development Services, Arts & Entertainment Companies, Business Consultants, Presentation Development Teams and more. If there is a particular industry or sector that you’re interested in, please let us know. This can be taken into consideration when your specific internship match is being made.

As a remote intern, you’ll be in regular contact with your supervisor through email and online meetings, where you’ll receive guidance, feedback, and be guided to set tasks and goals. The strategic marketing goals and business priorities of your internship host company may vary. However, key priorities typically pertain to achieving increased sales through digital marketing and general promotional activities. You may anticipate activities related to content creation (for customers and/or business stakeholders), copywriting, digital marketing analysis, graphic design, customer acquisition strategies, administrative activities for fundraising and event planning, and more.

In all cases, interns should expect that the initial phase of their remote internship will focus on gaining some introductory knowledge. You may start by gaining an understanding or overview of what you can build upon, develop, learn, and contribute. Ensure that you ask questions and provide feedback during the introductory period, so that your supervisor understands how you’re progressing. This will help them to better understand important details, such as how quickly you learn, what you find challenging, what you find interesting, etc.
