Internship details

Gain practical exposure to recruitment, retention strategies, motivation, training need analysis, appraisals, skill development and the use of psychometrics. Hosted out of India, remote interns are guided and instructed by a highly established and experienced Clinical Psychologist and HR Interventionist, who serves as Head Counselor at an Indian Institute of Counseling.

Broadly speaking the institute uses HR tools such as Psychometrics for recruitment, employee training and candidate interviews. Their comprehensive approach requires an understanding of client Organizational Vision, Mission, Goals, Key Performance areas & Performance Appraisal requirements. Interns will be directly supervised by the Head Counselor, gaining exposure to live projects, along with introduction to assessment reports, interpretations and self appraisals. Exposure to Client Live sessions will be arranged based on availability. Interns may gain insight into these practices. For example, internship assignments may be related to personal assessments and case study based learnings.

Note that this remote internship can include live sessions. Although remote internships have an element of flexibility (in that you will have some activities you’re able to complete in your own time) you’ll also need to ensure that your own time-zone can accommodate any live sessions, taking place in Indian business hours. If your time-zone and availability will be incompatible, you’re welcome to reach out to us to discuss alternative host-countries for your remote internship needs.

Organizational Psychology interns learn from a qualified and experienced supervisor, and can be involved in:
  • Sessions with HR heads on recruitment strategies, employee retention, appraisals, etc.
  • Report Writing on each session in the format provided
  • Project work given based on learnings provided
  • Supervisor introduction, feedback, communication, report and project evaluation

Typical schedule:
  • As a remote intern, you’ll have the flexibility to work to a schedule that suits both you and your supervisor. Your schedule will need to accommodate online meetings with your supervisor when it’s required, so there will be times where you’ll need to be available during office hours in India. Between any real-time meetings, you should also anticipate that you’ll create a plan of action with your supervisor, which outlines the tasks you’ll be working on independently.
