Internship details

London’s central business district can trace its history back to the time of Roman settlement, when the major commercial center was established, thanks to the port and trading routes. Throughout London, and other English cities, there is a broad range of placements available for interns who wish to participate remotely and access unique learning opportunities, from a wide range of professionals and business sectors.

This is a remote internship you can undertake virtually from home. Click here to view in-country Business internships, if you would prefer to travel and intern abroad.

Business & Economics is a very broad field that encompasses a wide variety of sectors, so there is a large range of potential placements available for remote interns who are interested in developing their skills and professional prospects. Practical activities for online interns are ordinarily related to assistance with general operations and organization, managerial assistance, client support, efficiency analysis, marketing and communications, project proposals, project delivery, improved customer service delivery, and more.

Individual remote internship experiences vary, as the specific placement that you’re assigned will depend on review of your resume and your current level of studies and experience. Interns will be encouraged to focus on their areas of strength, while also being flexible, to ensure that contributions can be made according to interest, as well as need. In all cases, interns are expected to be as proactive as possible, as a high level of initiative will greatly enhance your cultural immersion and program engagement.

Remote internships are intended to be flexible and interns have some freedom to develop a schedule that works for them, while ensuring that personal responsibility is taken for maximizing the experience. You are not required to do your internship exactly according to the time zone of your host organization. However, you must have an understanding of any differences in time zone, since you’ll need to ensure you can make a commitment to connecting with your supervisor in real-time (during the supervisor’s business hours) when it may be necessary for scheduled meetings or calls. Between any real-time meetings, you should anticipate that you’ll create a plan of action with your supervisor, which outlines the tasks you’ll be assisting with independently.
